Remove the federal government from controlling education and it will improve and the costs will plummet. Shut down the Department of Education. Shut down the EPA, their power to make up their own rules has and is chasing jobs out of the country and has been since its inception.

Congressman, In your own words can you explain for me what your bill H.R. 2940 - Access to Capital for Job Creators Act will accomplish if it becomes law?

Government Spending
Joan Posted 6 years ago
Since President Obama has increased, non-defense, discretionary spending by 84% since he came into office, what can we do to reduce the size of government and increase the growth of our economy? What are some of the specific proposals or ideas that could create real change in this country to give our children and grandchildren a better future in this country?

Still not sure what we got for the increased spending. Other, of course, pay offs to the Union bosses for their union votes.

I agree that there is a HUGE issue related to the deficit and the spending that is being approved by Congress. The funniest part is Congress has the power to spend then congressmen say we are spending too much. I wish the same rules applied to me in my life... Woops I spent too much so I will just vote to make more money show up in my checking account! Another example of do as I say not as I do!

Ethics
Joanna Darden Posted 6 years ago
What gets me is how asleep people are. This began 36 years ago, and actually my Dad before he died said it started in the mid 50's..exporting..taking away American jobs..I grew up having very high morals and ethics. This isn't Obama..this is years of Americans being asleep, not taking responsiblity and action to make change..I have. On our environment, on fairnesss in immigration(yeh to all who went through the legal process) and I don't understand how people don't see that we have been conditioned..quick fix society. these issues are long coming..so sad that people aren't more aware...

Education
Joanna Darden Posted 6 years ago
so....we keep cutting education...the rich can pay 1/4 outsourcing while Americans still can't live on 7.50!! where is the integrity of our people in power??? I am highly educated, now devastingly injured by some lying truck driver. I would love to work...I have so much education..but I can't work and we need to Educate our children and young adults to make livable wages. What is amazing is how many people I know making 10-12 an hour after high paying jobs..they can't live on it..neither can i...so sad..our country is a joke to others around the world. i miss our country

Disabilities
Joanna Darden Posted 6 years ago
hey...i have three Masters, Investment Advisor and then some idiot semi truck loaded with three tiers of tires tailgated me and lied and I am living in agonizing pain, unable to work and on less then 1000 a month...give me a break...I grew up in a work ethic, like others in their 50's and up...how dare we get penalized..how dare illegals get free care when it needs to go to our citizens and our children...I am so ashamed of our country...and look at the once again promises to our military who fought such a ridiculous war and we have them on the streets..v.nam again

I spent over $60K and countless hours for an advanced degree and it's worthless without a job out there. I agree there are many issues but the one most important to me is the lack of companies willing to hire. This is what we need the politicians to focus on!!! NOW!

Economy
Joanna Darden Posted 6 years ago
It is so sad that so much money goes to illegal immigrants, military where our noses don't belong and that our Country is suffering. We were told to use cred cards, to take people over 50 and change their benefits is cruel, start with young ones, ofcourse, they can't get an education and what about our dying water??? i thinki people know we would have police on us if we revolted and they are too asleep to realize the gulf spill DID affect our ocean as did China and why else are the Dolphins dead??? We need aware people in and if high end politicians and the 5% rich helped, we need change
