This latest budget proposal is a scheme. It will basically raise the debt ceiling and the spending will just continue...as usual! Are there no true patriots up on that hill? Our nation is in TROUBLE! People have fought and died for this country, but you guys cannot be trusted to properly use a sharp pencil! Please, get serious about cutting spending. Obama and the Dems are posturing for the 2012 election, and you will give them fodder to WIN if you do not stand up to their bullying, temper tantrum in refusing to respond to the needs of the country. Truly cut, cap and balance!

Stand firm on the Cut, Cap and Balance already passed. Do not agree to Boehner's plan B. The most important thing to do right now is stop the bleeding. The more money we give Obama, the more he will spend. As important as our credit rating is, the most important thing right now is to stop the SPENDING!

Sue,
Just heard details about this new plan of Boehner's. Not good to agree to 1T debt ceiling increase with no cuts in spending, just a slowing down of rate of growth over ten years. This is laughable...if it weren't tragic! You and I both know this decrease will never happen. Vote NO. My husband and I have voted for you in the past, but I promise to Vote in 2012 against any Rep./Senator who votes in favor of this plan.

Fiscal Responsibility
Virginia Calello Posted 6 years ago
Sue,
Support Cut, Cap, and Balance only after carefully checking their figures. We cannot continue to spend more money than we take in and we cannot just raise the debt ceiling and pay for it with credit from China and other countries. We must be fiscally responsible for the sake of our children and grand-children. Please do not CAVE in to Obama and the democrats. If they don't take this, then don't increase the debt ceiling. STAND firm. Personally, I will not vote again for anyone who caves on this! We must rein in this spending!!!

Economy

The current policies coming from the Administration, in my opinion, are dangerous to the long term health of our country and populace. Please do not vote to raise the debt limit without significant ($trillions) spending reform. Obamacare is a dangerous progressive effort to wealth equalization. I do believe we need to provide basic insurance for those who truly cannot afford it but there are other ways, such as allowing an interstate private market with federal stipends. Please do everything you can to repeal Obamacare.
