Does it really make sense to you to cut financial aid for college students to preserve tax entitlements for the super wealthy? Do you honestly believe that its better for the future of this country to save the wealthiest 1% of the people 1% on their tax bill, a tax bill that is the lowest its been in 40 years AND cut financial aid for thousands of college students? Do you honestly believe it is good for the future of our country to discourage and make it more difficult for young people to get an education?

Is this right; 10 more months of reduced revenue from social security collections to buy 2012 Democrats votes? Then Congress is going to approve the spending of this non-revenue collected for some other 'free' government program. So, you're spending (again) monies that weren't collected while the social security trust fund goes 'broke' faster. I wouldn't have to fire you if you were my CFO, you'd already have run us out of business with this kind of financing.

Politicians on both sides have used our Social Security as their slush" fund for over 40 years..the most direct solution would be to cut the size of the Federal Govt. by 30% NOW! Exclude Defense and use a percentage to build the funds for the Social Security "bank" Then mandate by law those funds in the future will never be allotted to the General Fund!

Isn't Lew's work on the 2013 like kissing your sister? Not a single vote for Obama's 2012 budget proposal and yours didn't even get a vote. If the House would simply pass a CRA at the 2008 funding levels, we could kick the can down the 2014 road when the democrats would have to suck-it up.

Rules of Impeachment as I read it , House should start proceedings against Reid and Obama.."A high crime is one which seeks the overthrow of the country, which gives aid or comfort to its enemies, or which injures the country to the profit of an individual or group. In democracies and similar societies it also includes crimes which attempt to alter the outcome of elections."

Erick when are you people going to stop referring to Social Security(SS) as an entitlement!! We pay takes for both medicare and SS taxes as part of our pay each paycheck!! You spend it like it was monopoly money. There is suppose to be a Trust Fund, and the full faith an credit of the US Gov. We you guys have destroyed that and have gone as far as saying "No Problem, Let our Credit Rating go to hell, it does not mean a think. Well it does mean something to Americans who work for their money and get shit on for not being rich enough not to need to borrow. Get to work or we will VOTE YOU OUT !

I agree with you 100%, I wish the House would read the Constitution under Articles of Impeachment. Here is the quote " A high crime is one which seeks the overthrow of the country, which gives aid or comfort to its enemies, or which injures the country to the profit of an individual or group. In democracies and similar societies it also includes crimes which attempt to alter the outcome of elections"
I think Obama, his Cabinet, Reid, and Pelosi should be so Charged..

In you quest to reduce Federal spending, would you eliminate special interest Federal holidays? Holidays cost millions from loss time and productivity of the Federal workforce. This workforce also enjoy more time off than the private sector. Examples of special interest group holidays are: MLK birthday for the African Americans, Veteran's Day for the Vets, Labor Day for the Unions, Christmas for the Christians. Memorial Day is duplicative to Vet's Day. Actually, I favor annual leave for any time off for Federal employees.

Your budget proposal is one step toward right sizing the Federal Government. Another step is elimination of waste, fraud, and abuse in the Federal Agencies. Yet another important step is to streamline the Administration by eliminating duplicate programs such as the Defense Department's programs that have nothing to do with defense from foreign threats or structuring the Department to fight two major conflicts and two minor conflicts simultaneously. Don't you believe that if the Defense Department was properly structured we could avoid wasteful spending?
