Hello Greg,

I saw you smiling during the State of the Union address. Just touching base with you in this troubled time. Paris Wright says hello. Anyway, hopefully we may get a chance to speak about things. All the best my friend.

Economy

Please Congressman Meeks, be very diligent in solving this fiscal cliff issue. Please help President Obama's coalition for the middle class to come to pass. We're all watching the stubborness and political agenda first before the people stance the Republicans are taking and it's so disheartening. Please fight for us. Thanks so much.

Congressman, it is great to know you are willing to be open and willing to talk to people like me. I couldn't make it to the Town Hall meeting so I am really excited that I have a way to pose to you my wishes and hopes for what I think our nation needs.

P.S. I think you are doing a great job!

Congressman Meek, inasmuch as the taxpayers were paid the bailout of the banks from their callous 2008 crisis to exercise due diligence, it's PAYBACK time.I urge you to demand of Pres.Obama that the banks roll back the down payments for primary homeowners and residential home investors from 20 and 25% to10 or 15% respectively for the next 90 days. There are people with excellent credit, incomes and FICO scores who still prefer homeownership rather than rentals. The Trade-off:- In a win-win situation the banks reduce their Foreclosed/reposessed homes in return for a rolled back. downpayment.

Congressman Meeks,

I am a constituent of your district living in Far Rockaway. I am also a senior citizen living on the 11th floor. After Hurricane Sandy hit us, we are left with no electricity, food, or water. Unfortunately, I am not seeing you being concerned in the matter, or fight to restore electricity for the needy first. I have just had a heart procedure, and I have been stock on the 11th floor of my building without the basic needs. This congressman is a great indication of who I am going to vote this next election.

Immigration
Blanch Jeplos Posted 9 months ago
Congressman Meeks,

I live in Richmond Hill. I legally immigration here in 1996, when I was 6 years old.

It disgusts me to see that this area is a sanctuary city. There are so many illegal aliens here, particularly those from Trinidad and Guyana.

People come here on a temporary Visa and overstay. They find work and shelter and live without fear of deportation because ICE never operates here.

Why do you stand idly by and watch so many people break our laws? Why don't you lobby for anti-illegal immigration legislation?

Since Congressman Meeks WON'T answer why he stands idly by and watch so many people break our laws and why he don't lobby for anti-illegal immigration legislation-I'll let you know why.
It's because Congressman Meeks is more concerned about his job and getting votes than doing the right thing... he's more concerned about getting votes from communities that support illegals than our own laws. I'm sure he's gotten a ton of money from lobbies that support "fairness" to illegals than rewarding people like you who went through the process legally.

Fiscal Responsibility
Lori Meyer Posted 12 months ago
I watched your commentary during the Senate Finance Hearing re: JPMC $2B losses.
According to an article appearing in Bloomberg Businessweek, the regulations in London are in fact vastly different from US re: interest rate and other swap synthetic derivatives. http://tinyurl.com/75yqcgj

My questions to you:

1) When will effective regulation be enacted to provide greater transparency for the interest rate swap and swap synthetic derivatives?

2) What improvements will be made to Dodd-Frank to better control big banks?

I look forward to your response.

Hello,

Can someone assist me with an issue that I am having with the NYSDOL and Appeal Board? They are denying me benefits and justice. I have solid evidence for my case that can help me prevail and they are refusing to review my evidence. Please help.
