Government-supported research has laid the groundwork for medical breakthroughs that have improved quality of life, increased longevity, spurred private sector innovation and fueled the economy. If elected, will you make research for health a higher national priority so Texas residents and people across the country can benefit from the promise of science from both a health and economic standpoint?

Dear Mr. Allen, As I physician I see the harm caused to patients from our top-down bureaucrat-centered medical system. ObamaCare, while claiming to help, further wrests control away from patients and their doctors. No matter what the Supreme Court decides about ACA in June, the U.S. Senate will have a pivotal role in 2012 in shaping the path forward, either towards more central control or restoring freedom. If elected what solutions will you support to empower patients to retake control of their medical care decisions and spending?

I read your Blueprint for America's Comeback and have a very simple question. Isn't there a faster way to re-establish trust between the people of America and those elected and appointed to serve? My thought is there isn't any accountability after the elections when most politicians forget the list of promises they made during the campaign and then do what Washington influence and heavyweight donors/corporations want. In your Blueprint where is the promise you will continue to treat and engage the regular citizens and how do you plan to do this once you are elected?

I'm a vet and know many. I am proud of my service and am thankful for your recent statements about the proposed cuts to TRICARE and other services that are offered. My question is, when the budget cuts come down from Washington how will you share with your other Congressional members that there are real people at the end of those cuts and as fiscal issues become more urgent, it's going to be hard to keep us Vets as a priority. Basically, how can I be sure you will keep your word?

Do you support the exploration and production of oil and other energy resources within our country and what percentage of our energy needs should be drawn from sustainable resources like wind or solar?
