Gas prices are through the roof again... over $4/gallon in some parts of the country. Every time there is a crisis in the Middle East, we suffer. Why is it taking so long to solve the energy crisis in America with all the natural resources we have available to us? How can we fix this?

Today, the price of gasoline in Los Angeles County is over $4.25 per gallon, while WTI (the oil we use) is $93 per barrel. On July 4th weekend 2008, that exact same WTI barrel of oil reached $147 per barrel while the national average price of gasoline was $4.12 per gallon. With oil 63% the cost of July 2008; it seems logical to take 63% of $4.12 to arrive at what should be todays price of $2.61 per gallon. Who is making these windfall profits between $4.25 at the pump and the logical price of $2.61 per gallon based on verifiable ratios mentioned above.

You were quoted this week several times asking "who's leading America?" And you describe the US as a leaderless, rudderless ship. If you were given the authority, what would you do today regarding the crisis in Libya and other issues facing America?...

Please, Mr. West...reconsider running for President. I know you feel you can do more good in Congress but we, in the US, are desperate. We can't wait another 4 years for you. Our current administration is going to put an end to the country that I grew up in and love. Both of my parents were Military and devoted much of their lives to preserving our freedom. FYI President Obama is the first American President failing to visit the beaches or Military Cemetery on the D-Day commemorations he has (this year) campaigned instead of honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their Country. This is the third year running..

Propose the 28th Amendment, stating that Congress will be compensated the AVERAGE income of their constituency. Pay Federal taxes at the same rates as their constituency. Receive the same Health care as their constituency, be able to receive a pension based on a 30 year career in a real world profession not based on terms served in Congress. Members of Congress will be excluded from accepting any position within a lobbyist / Special Interest, or Government employment no less than 10 years after End Term of Service in Congress
